Business Analyst - Central London/West End

£40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

This 2019 established HealthTech Startup is already successfully delivering a preventative solution for two critical clinical conditions by utilising cutting edge technology. The first condition is often described as “a sheep in wolves clothing” by the medical profession. Financially it costs our NHS literally £Billions a year in treatment, but far more importantly it has a massive human impact that effects the lives of millions of people, many of them alas paying the ultimate price. The second condition is a specific human form of addiction, which unlike alcohol or recreational drugs, is needed by our bodies in moderation to survive but its overuse is blighting the lives of millions across the globe, leading to extreme physical and mental trauma.

Both of these conditions are largely reversable if not left too late, and by using the minds of brilliant clinicians and cutting edge technology, experts have created a product and solution to disrupt and change the lives of the millions of people who are effected by these conditions, in the process saving governments and related commerce £$€Billions.

The team behind this venture have the highest pedigree in terms of previous success within HealthTech startups, having already taken 6 startups from inception to $Billion IPO.

Edison Hill Search is proud to be engaged exclusively by this organisation to help grow their core Technology and Digital Creative teams with the introduction of a talented Agile Business Analyst.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with the Head of Customer Experience, plan, organise and facilitate workshops to elicit business requirements from key internal stakeholders and document in a structured format
  • Assist in grooming a feature backlog and prioritisation
  • Interrogating business requirements elicited from key stakeholders to define low level detail
  • Brief in low level requirements to the development team
  • Review output from customer experience team to ensure it meets requirements
  • Review requirements (these can be in the form of user stories) with the Technical Leads, who will in turn create technical tasks for the development team
  • Define acceptance criteria with the Lead QA
  • Assist QA team and the customer experience team in reviewing final deliverables to ensure they meet the requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Detail-oriented thinker to help define micro requirements from macro objectives
  • Experience of understanding and shaping user/technical requirements to produce user stories, specifications and process flows
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Developers and Subject Matter Experts within the business to translate high level requirements into a customer-centric feature
  • Experience of stakeholder alignment and communication at various levels across multiple business areas
  • The ability to participate in technical discussions at a high level
  • Good problem-solving techniques,
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Good team-working skills
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • A strong drive to continue learning and improving
  • A great work ethic, and above all
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to do well
