Lead Digital/ICT Specialist Advert

My clients are a local council who have thrived in the past 3 years and have been resilient enough to continue to actively help out local communities during COVID, in a part of the UK hit particularly hard.

Due to continued investment in new Digital technology, and a commitment to bring vital ICT services back in house, they now require a new proven leader, ideally with experience of leading both development and support teams, as their Lead Digital/ICT Specialist.

This is a strategic and team leadership role, so don’t worry if your coding, or hardware skills, are a little out of date. They won’t be needed :)

What is needed is your proven experience of working at Senior Management Level, advising, guiding and managing on agreed strategies, ensuring all applications and systems are developed to the highest standards while ensuring the council has secure IT solutions that focus on its “customers” journey & needs, while offering council departments high quality tools to deliver on their roles. 

As you’d expect, your great people skills will be high on the list of what’s expected. Digital & ICT currently has a headcount of 20, split evenly over two teams, Systems Development & Projects and the ICT/Infrastructure team, with each team having their own senior specialist who will be your direct reports.
